- First off, I'd like to thank all 6 netters who provided
- help to my recent question regarding HP-GL language
- documentation. I called the HP Customer Order number
- and ordered an 'Interfacing and Programming Manual',
- which I am eagerly awaiting (it was $27!!! Someone had
- said $10. Oh well....) Thanks again!
-
- Now, I have a hardware-related question about the 7475:
- To standardize things, I normally create my plot output
- to a file, which I then plot using the following
- DOS command:
-
- copy [filename] com2:/b
-
- The problem is in about 50% of cases, the plotter hangs
- at some point and I get a 'write error' on com2: .
- Sometimes I can hit (R)etry and it goes merrily along,
- sometimes not. What gives here? What can I do? I get
- the feeling that the plotter or computer (a 386 clone)
- is misinterpreting something as a handshake? Yes? No?
- Any ideas?
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Len
-
- PS This only happens with the copy command. Plotting
- from within a graphics package works without a hitch.
