  19. Your best be it to get Epoch -- epoch is a version of emacs that was written
  20. for X.  I'm using it with no complaints.

  24.      Epoch is available by anonymous ftp on `cs.uiuc.edu'.  We are
  25.      negotiating to have it available through other sites, and through
  26.      uucp mail request.  Send mail to `epoch-request@cs.uiuc.edu' to find
  27.      out the current status with this if you do not have anonymous ftp.
