- There seems to be a filesize limitation in emacs of 2^23 bytes.
- The editor does not detect files which violate this limit nor
- is the limitation documented (as far as I've yet determined).
- The editor merely starts to behave unreliably for such large
- files. Is there a document which describes this limitation.
- Are there any plans to correct it? (Note: *whatever* is done
- will most likely leave some sort of limitation, so the way
- to correct the problem is to detect violations and not just
- increase the limit.) What is the appropriate procedure for
- reporting such problems and/or getting current information
- on new releases and fixes? Is anyone actually doing bugfix
- work on the tool at all?
-
- Thanks in advance.
