  18.     The Department of Electrical Engineering, National Chung Cheng
  19. University, Chiayi, Taiwan, ROC invites applications for faculty
  20. positions at the Associate Professor and Professor levels.  Appointment
  21. will be in the following areas:

  23.     1. Electrical machinery
  24.     2. IC design (prefer experiences with communication ICs)
  25.     3. Signal processing
  26.     4. Computer architecture
  27.     5. Intergrated optics
  28.     6. Medical imaging
  29.     7. Artificial intelligence
  30.     8. Communication networks (prefer experiences with ATM)

  33.     Only four vacancies are open and will be filled with four strongest
  34. candidates submitting applications.  The candidate must have a Ph.D.
  35. degree in a relevant discipline from a accredited university and must
  36. have demonstrated academic potentials.  Faculty at NCCU are expected to
  37. teach both undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research.
  38. NCCU is located in the southern part of Taiwan and have a spacious
  39. (total area: 133 hectares) and scenic campus.  We are young and growing.
  40. Currently we offer B.S. and M.S. degrees.  Starting with Fall Semester
  41. 1993, we will also offer Ph.D. programs.
