- FORM PARTNERSHIP IN DSP
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- Manhasset NY, January 8, 1993. DSP Associates and EET/EWN announced
- today the formation of a joint effort to promote the use of Digital
- Signal Processing Technology in the industry, and issued a "CALL FOR
- PAPERS" for the Fourth "International Conference on Signal Processing
- Applications and Technology" and a "Call for DSP Applications" for DSP
- World Expo.
-
- Sponsored by DSP Associates and EET/EWN, the "International Conference
- on Signal Processing Applications & Technology" (ICSPAT) and DSP World
- Expo., are scheduled to take place Sept. 28 - Oct. 1, 1993 in the San
- Francisco Bay Area.
-
- Since 1990 (The First Conference & Expo., held in Brussels, Belgium)
- the conference became the first industry-oriented "hands-on" DSP
- conference, targetted to the industry. In the past three years, the
- conference and trade show have experienced an annual growth rate
- of over 100% in both attendance, papers and number of exhibitors.
- With the addition of EET/EWN as co-sponsors of the conference, this
- year's conference promises an even larger growth.
-
- Last year's conference (Boston '92) attracted over 300 papers (out of
- which 186 were selected), 740 attendees and 55 exhibiting companies.
- The conference is a truly international event attracting over 40% of
- the papers from the international DSP community (industry & academia)
- from over 35 countries worldwide. DSP World Expo. is both a trade show
- and an exhibit, displaying DSP based products as well as DSP
- applications presented during the conference. A large number of
- papers, panel sessions as well as tutorials, workshops will be offered
- in this year's event.
-
- The "Industry Technology Forum" is designed to showcase new products
- and industrial developments presented by the DSP industry.
-
- As the countdown to ICSPAT and DSP World Expo. begins, EET/EWN will
- schedule special DSP issues of their publications to appear early this
- year.
