  12. I need a little help in getting Ptolemy 0,4  going on 
  13. a personal DECstation 5000.  I've followed the installation
  14. instructions and have ended up with a whole buncch of executables.
  15. When I type "pigi" to try it out I get an error message that the 
  16. command "vem" can't be found.  When I look around for vem I 
  17. find that unpacking the tar files has left me with the following
  18.  
  19. /users/ptolemy/bin.mips/vem@ -> ../octtools/bin.mips/vem
  20.  
  21. and unfortunaly ../octtools/bin.mips/vem doesn't exist.

  23. Can someone help me with this problem please ?

  25. If anyone does have the time, then maybe they could also help me with
  26. the following

  28. 1. An example of what the added line to the .rhosts file should
  29. look like.

  31. 2.  What is the Almagest ?

  33. 3.  How do you print something out from the documentation.  Do you go 
  34. to one of the documentation subdirectories and type make ?
