  25. Abstract:  System performance is strongly influenced by the quality
  26. of its implementations.  We describe four ways of evaluating the
  27. performance of two implementations of the priority mechanism used in
  28. the Token Ring local area network.  We use various methods for
  29. comparing the small priority machine's differences and show how a
  30. simplified comparison can lead to bad results.  With connection to
  31. the evaluation complexity, we also consider the simulation cost of
  32. the implementation process.
