  24.    Information about which LEC "owns" an NPA/NXX, and lots of other
  25.    data you might want, is in several Bellcore "products".  For example,
  26.    the NPA-NXX V&H Coordinates Tape (primarily for billing) contains the
  27.    OCN (Operating Company Number) for each NXX -- you can translate that
  28.    to an LEC (or equivalent in Canada/Caribbean).

  38.    So, I've attached a canned response I use for questions about
  39. Bellcore, but the telephone numbers correspond to the normal TR/TA
  40. document center.  The NPA/NXX information is maintained by the
  41. (somewhat) separate Traffic Routing Administration (TRA) group, at +1
  42. 201 829 3071.

  44.    To complicate matters, there are three PUBLIC documents published
  45. by Bellcore's document center, but maintained by the TRA.  These are
  46. available by contacting the document center as described in the
  47. attachment.

  49.  - FA20: "Telephone Area Code Directory (TACD) Microfiche"
  50.    Contains all customer-dialable points in the North American Numbering
  51.    Plan with the corresponding NPA.  Issued monthly.   $50
  52.  
  53.  - TR-EOP-000093: "TACD Paper Report"  As above, issued annually around
  54.    September.  Ordered by State and Locality.  Carrier Identification
  55.    Codes are included.

  57.  - TR-OPT-001843: 800/900 List on Paper, giving company name and telephone
  58.    contact for each NXX assigned with the 800 and 900 codes.  Issued
  59.    quarterly.

  80.  - NPA-NXX Vertical and Horizontal Coordinates Tape (the "V&H Tape")
  81.    is primarily for billing purposes, and lists (for each NXX) the type
  82.    of NXX, major/minor V&H coordinates, LATA Code, the ROA, Time Zone,
  83.    Place Name, OCN (TELCO) and indicators for IDDD and "Non-Dialable".

  85.  - NPA/NXX Activity Guide lists all NPA/NXX codes schedules to be added,
  86.    removed or "modified" (monthly).  There's also an Active Code List
  87.    that lists all NPA/NXX codes that aren't planned to be removed or
  88.    "modified" for the next 6 months.

  90.  - Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG)
  91.    contains information on all USA/Caribbean destinations, switching
  92.    entities, Rate Centers and Localities, Tandem Homing information,
  93.    operator service codes, 800/900 NXX assignments, etc.
