  21. The Asia-Pacific Engineering Journal (APEJ) provides within the
  22. rapidly changing Asia-Pacific region a unique source of information on
  23. current international research activities and trends in technology. It
  24. aims to keep its readers fully briefed with major papers, reports and
  25. reviews on state-of-the-art technologies and products. The journal is
  26. published in separate parts that cover the disciplines of Electrical,
  27. Mechanical, Civil, Chemical and Industrial Engineering. Part A is
  28. devoted to Electrical Engineering, and covers the four main areas of
  29. Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control and
  30. Automation, and Microelectronics.

  32. The December 1993 issue of Part A of the APEJ is devoted to
  33. Communications Engineering. The issue will be a special issue
  34. concentrating on the field of High-Speed Networking, and original
  35. contributions in all aspects of this field of research are now
  36. solicited. In particular, relevant topics of interest include, but are
  37. not limited to, the following:

  39. * Broadband ISDN and ATM networks
  40. * Gigabit/s networking
  41. * Lightwave networks
  42. * High-speed transport protocols
  43. * Management of high-speed networks
  44. * Flow and congestion control in high-speed networks
  45.  
  46. Prospective authors are requested to submit four (4) copies of their
  47. manuscripts, written in English, and including a 100-word abstract, to
  48. the following by 1 April 1993.
