  21. I called Telebit twice in the process of ordering the WB fax
  22. upgrade/new ROM's.  When I asked about fax software that would support
  23. my new fax modem in a SysV environment, they indicated  that Faximum
  24. was the package of choice.  On both occasions, when I asked about its
  25. pricing, I was told that this information wasn't immediately available
  26. and that I could call Faximum in British Columbia at 604-925-3600 to
  27. find out.

  29. Figuring that a trustworthy company such as Telebit would probably
  30. make some reasonable recommendation,  I didn't make the phone call to
  31. Canada.  Eventually, some plausible workaround will surface as the fax
  32. upgrade becomes more widely distributed.  At least, I hope it will...

  34. It has been my conclusion that Telebit's telepeople conveniently
  35. 'forgot' the Faximum pricing in order to avoid an endless string of
  36. arguments over the phone.  I bet that there isn't a single WB user,
  37. even in businesses, that orders this software package.

  39. Here's a thought: Maybe $625 is the price in $CDN, so that the actual
  40. price in $US is only $488.75!  If the US price is really $625, does
  41. this mean that the poor Canadian WB user has to shell out $799CDN for
  42. his/her fax software??  Are there any Canadian WB users who have
  43. checked this out??
