  23. I finally opened the cover of the modem and there were a large condensator with
  24. one of the pins sticking up ugly without any contact tothe main board.  After
  25. soldering it the RING signal was detected without any problems.

  27. Obviously they don't test AA-capability in their test suit before delivering...
