- I have a Gateway 2000 386sx 16MHz at home and guesss what? It does the same
- thing to me as well! That is, with a Practical Peripherals SA9600, or Everex
- 2400+ modems it will occassionally just does not respond to the AT command. I
- found that the solution was to get through to the COM port (using kermit or
- whatever) and then type the AT command in CAPITAL LETTERS. I invariably get an
- OK response and everything else is hunky dory.
- By the way, has anyone tried using Dialslip on a Gateway? I have found that it
- just doesn't retreive the IP number from the Slip server at all. I'm not sure
- whether this is a problem with Dialslip or the Gateway's serial port.
