  24. since i'm posting, i really wanted to ask this question, however...
  25. I have to use 2400baud for a connection to my school computer (yes, it
  26. sucks!), and i got the 14.4K modem...two comm programs that i'm using,
  27. Softerm for Windows and Crosstalk Communicator (I haven't tried it on my
  28. Softerm 4 OS/2, but will probably get the same problem), give me a jerky
  29. screen when i am using the modem at slower speeds.  I didn't have this
  30. problem with my first modem, a 2400baud modem.  am i stuck with jerky
  31. screens, or is there a way to fix this problem (via software,
  32. preferrably)?
