- Maybe someone can help me with this...
-
- My modem (an internal twincom 96/42i) tells me to lock the com port
- at 38400, which I do and have been doing for the last year. During this
- time, I have had no problems with file transfers, up until lately.
- Lately, I have had numerous errors in transferring files and in drawing
- the screen in general. The screen problems have pretty much always been
- around though. The screen problem is that I get only part of what is
- supposed to be there, such as part of an ansi-type code, and there is
- some garbage on the screen. The modem manual says: it is a V.32 9600 bps
- internal data modem. It employs an asynchronous PARALLEL interface and
- emulates a 16C450 UART to the host computer. The problem does get a little
- bit better if I lower the port speed to 19200. I have used more than one
- comm program with this also (i.e., Procomm+, Telix). Help me please, the
- warranty runs out at the end of January.
