- The ComNet glossy mag that dropped on my desk has a beautiful picture
- of a network in it. It also uses the terms Concentator, Hub as well
- as Gateway.
- Does anybody claim there are accepted descriptions of what a Hub
- and Concentrator are, and would they like to explain? The glossy
- shows a Gateway, apparently between a Concentrator attached to
- a FDDI ring, and a HIPPI Hub. This puzzles me.
- Doubtless a picture drawn by marketing people, but nevertheless it
- does raise the question.
- In the network context define the terms Concentrator and Hub. I
- tried, but I started stumbling real fast.....
