- Ah yes, another FAQ I'll wager (I didn't see one or a response to
- someone else's query on this subject). On to the question. We have a
- number of Starlan 10 cards. We need a way for a DOS program to be able
- to determine the MAC adress of the card that it has. I tried to use a
- program that determines MAC addresses of SMC cards, but that technique
- doesn't work (It does IN's from IO ports but finds all FF's). I was
- pretty sure the Startlan cards were made by what was then Western
- Digital so I had some hope that that technique would work. Anyone have
- any hints on how to get at it (is it perhaps stored in a consistent
- place in ROM)?
