- Does anyone know how to do this:-
-
- I have a database with about 3000 records. I would like to search on last
- name. Instead of a simple search, I wld like to have a browse window open
- and dynamically move the pointer while I type the name.
-
- e.g. If I looking for Smith, When I type S, the pointer should go
- to the first occurence of S and when I type m, the pointer should
- move to the first occurenece of Sm. And so on. Then when I see
- the record that I want in the browse window, I wld move over to that
- record and press a key to retrieve that record.
-
- I have seen this in many commercial applications but How do Implement it
- in Foxpro? Does anyone have any sample code that I cld look at?
-
-
- next question:-
- Does this group have a list server that I can subscribe to?
-
- Thanks in advance
