- I have what I think is the same problem.
- When running pkunzip with qemm installed, the computer hangs
- completety. When setting desqview protection level to 3, I
- get error messages stating that the program accesses memory
- locations that it should not access.

- The option -- corrects this, but the string XMS=disable
- in pkzip.cfg does NOT. According to the docs it should be
- the same as the option --.

- Please could people suspend using the new pkzip to compress
- files to be put on bbs and ftp servers until pkware
- distributes a bug fixed version.
- The compression is not worth it anyway. Just 1/2 percent
- better than arj (tested with the files in the pkzip archive).
