- Actually it seems that WUARCHIVE used an old virus checker which gave
- a false positive and then went ballistic. This scares me for several
- reasons, not only did they get a lot of people to trash perfectly good
- versions of PKZIP (if there is such a thing) but they are checking with
- old software which may miss current virus infections.

- When I was moderator of cbip I check every file with McAfee, Fprot,
- and whatever third checker was popular at the time. I sometimes used a
- checker for a single virus if the bad guys were ahead and that was the
- only way I could find it.
