  10. I already reported a while ago about the HAP datacompressor. Way back
  11. it was buggy and slow. It is still slow but the bugs seem to be away.

  13. An impressive program, the entier archiver is 9k(!). Compression is
  14. about 5% better than PKZIP 2.04c. Compression is about 6 times slower
  15. than PKZIP 2.04c, decompression is as slow as compression (:-(). The
  16. functionality of the archiver is comparable to that of AR002. Just
  17. add, list, delete, extract. No support for subdirectories. I expect
  18. a full produkt from them in a few months (they are working on the produkt for
  19. a while aleady). The documentation is still fuzzy.

  21. The program seems to be build around an extremely efficient higher order
  22. arithmetic encoder.
