  13. More impressions on the new PKZip... it's fast!  It took slightly more
  14. than half the time ARJ 2.30 did to compress my MOD directory (a good
  15. mix of text, executables, and sound files) down to about 800K.  ARJ
  16. beat it by 1.5K, but that's nothing at that size.

  18. Also, info-zip folks:  several files which I downloaded from
  19. archive.toronto.edu which had been packed with Info-Zip failed with
  20. CRC errors when I unpacked them with PKUnzip 2.04c.  Unzip handled the
  21. same files with no problem.  I don't have any files I know were packed
  22. with 1.93a around to test the new one it with.
