  13. I was wondering if anyone out there knows a standard
  14. format for citing the comp.compression FAQ or any FAQ for
  15. that matter.  Specifically, I do not know anything about the
  16. copyright status of postings to news groups on USENET.  
  17. I am writing my masters thesis on Ultrasound Image Compression 
  18. and will be making reference to this group's FAQ in the document.
  19.  
  20. I suppose what I am wondering is should the FAQ be treated
  21. as an unpublished work whose editor or author is Jean-loup
  22. Gailly?  And should the modification date be cited?  The 
  23. bibliographic database I am using is BibTeX, if that makes
  24. any difference.
