  29. These speeds from v.32 or v.32bis connections usually indicate some type of
  30. data compression is being used, i.e. MNP-5 and/or v.42bis, and that you get
  31. large volumes of news.  Large enough to matter at least. If your not using 
  32. v.42bis or MNP-5 then this won't help and I dont know what else might work 
  33. for you.

  35. Disable MNP5 and V.42bis before calling a UUCICO session (this can be done
  36. easily in the DIALERS section).  When I did that I consistantly get throughput
  37. of 850 to 900 cps receive and 550 to 650 cps when sending.  This is with 'g'
  38. protocol and the standard packet sizes and windows sizes.
