- I do not know about SIMTEL20 -> wuarchive, but I can tell about some
- of my cursory observations on Garbo -> 3 mirror sites. Judging very
- perfunctorily from our logs it would seem that the usual lag before
- a newly uploaded package is at all the three sites is below two
- days, but over one.
-
- But if you are asking because you have problems getting in to some
- site, consider use automated FTP. In fact consider it anyway,
- Gentle Users. This is a trick I often advocate, since it decrases
- the unncecessary connection time. If you have a BSD Unix host get

- 29520 Oct 31 1990 garbo.uwasa.fi:/unix/ftp/batchftp102.tar.Z
-
- I use these for all my own downloading whenever I have to get
- something by myself (like for example when I got the recently
- discussed probe images from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory archives
- to Garbo).
-
- All the best, Timo
