  21. No, this wouldn't explain the problem, the SURAnet server has never sync'd
  22. off of another site, we retrieve all of the listings ourselves.

  24. It is possible that the site which had the file you were looking at had
  25. not been updated yet.  We update our sites on about a monthly basis, any more
  26. than that would put too much of a load both on the archie machine and on
  27. all of the anonymous ftp servers.  It is also possible that the site is
  28. simply not in the database, this can happen because we don't add things
  29. to the database unless requested by the site themselves.

  31. However since you have had a problem, I would ask you to send mail to
  32. archie-admin@sura.net describing what you were looking for, and we
  33. can see if the problem is still happenning.

  35. Indeed if anyone has a problem using our server, they should send mail
  36. to archie-admin@sura.net.  If you have a problem using another server,
  37. you should be able to reach those people by sending mail to 
  38. archie-admin@<their archie machine>
