- No, this wouldn't explain the problem, the SURAnet server has never sync'd
- off of another site, we retrieve all of the listings ourselves.
-
- It is possible that the site which had the file you were looking at had
- not been updated yet. We update our sites on about a monthly basis, any more
- than that would put too much of a load both on the archie machine and on
- all of the anonymous ftp servers. It is also possible that the site is
- simply not in the database, this can happen because we don't add things
- to the database unless requested by the site themselves.
-
- However since you have had a problem, I would ask you to send mail to
- archie-admin@sura.net describing what you were looking for, and we
- can see if the problem is still happenning.
-
- Indeed if anyone has a problem using our server, they should send mail
- to archie-admin@sura.net. If you have a problem using another server,
- you should be able to reach those people by sending mail to
- archie-admin@<their archie machine>
