  21. Release 2.0 of the IslamicTimer software package is now available via 
  22. anonymous ftp from snake.mcs.kent.edu (IP address: 131.123.2.222).  
  23. The distribution is in a compressed shar (shell archive) file named 
  24. "/pub/IslamicTimer-2.0.shar.Z".  The new release includes a couple of 
  25. very minor fixes and a new program, called PREMIND, which provides 
  26. prayers time reminder/notification service on UNIX platforms.

  28. In addition to PREMIND, IslamicTimer includes programs for generating 
  29. Islamic (Hijri) Calendars, translating Gregorian/Julian dates to/from dates
  30. in the Islamic Calendar, computing prayer time schedules, and for determining
  31. the direction of the Qiblah.

  33. The software should be fairly portable and it should run on any UNIX
  34. system.  If you have to make any changes to files other than the Makefiles 
  35. to make these programs work on your machine/compiler, please contact me and
  36. tell me where I goofed.

  38. All the programs are Copyrighted.  Permission for nonprofit use and 
  39. redistribution of the software and its documentation is granted without 
  40. fee.
