  28. Announcing SS'93, Canada's seventh annual high performance computing
  29. conference and exhibition, sponsored by Supercomputing Canada
  30. (Super*Can).

  32. Rapid technological advances are changing the economics of computing.
  33. Feasibility thresholds are shifting; new problems can be economically
  34. tackled, more reliable results can be obtained, leading to more
  35. efficient operations and increased competitiveness.

  69. CALL FOR PAPERS/PROPOSALS

  71. You are invited to participate actively in this event. Please submit 
  72. technical papers on the following topics:

  74.   * Applications of High Performance Computing in the energy industry,
  75.     in aerospace, chemical modelling, earth sciences and the
  76.     environment, in engineering, image processing, financial
  77.     forecasting and others
  78.   * Connectivity and networking 
  79.   * Visualization as a tool for analysis and communication
  80.   * Developments in vector technologies
  81.   * Workstations and clusters
  82.   * Parallel architectures, including compiler and software development
  83.   * Other topics relevant to high performance computing.

  85. We are also encouraging proposals for debates, demonstrations and 
  86. innovative sessions to address the issues surrounding new horizons 
  87. in high performance computing.
