-
- Dear Madam/Sir,
-
- As part of the ESPRIT III programme, the Commission of European
- Communities is supporting a major new research initiative (P6942) on
- the Performance Evaluation of Parallel Systems (PEPS). PEPS is a
- consortium comprising Thomson-Sintra ASM (France), Simulog (France),
- Intecs Sistemi (Italy), Warwick University (UK) and NPL (UK).
-
- The principal goal of PEPS is to support and extend the use of Parallel
- Computers in Europe by providing comparitive evaluation of different
- architectures.
-
- PEPS will establish an international benchmark suite for parallel processors
- covering future as well as present application areas. The suite will be
- endorsed by a consortium of European government agencies.
-
- The creation of USERS' and VENDORS' groups is a very important part of the
- project. As a member of either group, you will have the opportunity to:-
-
- - attend Conferences and Workshops
-
- - receive periodic information through e-mail and Bulletins.
-
- Attached below is a questionnaire. We should be very grateful if you would
- complete it. Your answers will be an invaluable part of the survey and will
- enable us to:-
-
- - select typical applications for our Benchmark suite
-
- - select parallel platforms on which to implement the performance framework
-
- - highlight the trends and requirements in the domain of Parallel Processing
-
- - set up a USERS' and VENDORS' group for Parallel Computers
-
- We thank you very much for your collaboration and will be
- pleased to send you any further information if requested.
-
- Yours faithfully,
-
- The PEPS partners.
- ......................................................................
- NOTE This form is designed to be processed automatically.
- In general, an entry left blank indicates NO; Y indicates YES.
-
- Please complete this form if you are interested in the PEPS initiative for
- Performance Evaluation of Parallel Systems.
