- For the last three years I've been enjoying a 'programmer's
- perspective' on the Schankian school of AI, and having now been
- (rather rudely) cut free, I'll be posting a series of meditations
- on what I learned there (Northwestern's Institute for the Learning
- Sciences). Since Schankian AI is not everyone's cup of tea, and
- since my own perspective is centered on the application of
- Schank's ideas to interactive fiction, I think I'll be happier
- posting to rec.arts.int-fiction than here. (If anyone has a problem
- with that, write me.) Regarding my termination, I'll just say
- it was the age-old conflict of the artist and the *connoisseur*...
