  25. Not quite; it implicitly allows special or privileged status to lots of folks -
  26. racial minorities, women, physically disabled persons; nor does anything deny
  27. this status to any group at all - bald people could get the protection if they
  28. were able to get a local ordinance passed.  The amendment only denied this
  29. protection to homosexuals.  Thus, even without the "discrimination" clause,
  30. this amendment was wrong, I believe - it singled out one group for no reason
  31. given, and denied them something not explicitly denied to anyone else.
