- Colorado SuperNet has decided to publish a quarterly magazine for the
- state's online community. It's focus will be information services, with
- special sections on K-12 schools, government, commercial, and library
- applications - ie, this is not yet another computer magazine, though
- there will be something for everyone, even sys admins.
-
- We encourage ads by relevant companies: consultants, network integrators,
- network product manufacturers, libraries, online database providers,
- electronics distributors, and so on. The ads are to help lower the cost
- of subscriptions, and to help build the infrastructure necessary to expand
- the network.
-
- The rate schedule is:
- 1/8 page (biz card) $ 10 per issue
- 1/4 $ 25 "
- 1/2 $ 50 "
- full $100 "
- inside covers or back 2x above prices
- Quantity rates are 4 quarters for the price of 3.
-
- The magazine size is 5.5" x 8.5", and about 50 pages. It will be mostly
- monochrome with an occasional two color (black with any another color) page.
- Since this is the first time we are open to changes. There will be at least
- 1K copies of this issue printed and distributed to school districts, govern-
- ment agencies, libraries, commercial and individual subscribers; it'll grow
- from there.
-
- Send masters, camera-ready copy, postscript files, etc. by Jan 20 (for
- the Feb 15 issue) to:
- Colorado SuperNet
- Colorado School of Mines
- 1500 Illinois
- Golden, CO 80401
- 303-273-3471
- dcm@csn.org
-
- The purpose of this magazine is not to benefit SuperNet or for it to be
- a company newsletter (yes, we will print competitors' ads!), but to help
- Coloradoans learn about and take advantage of the net and applications
- based on it.
-
- Subscription information to follow. We are also interested in article
- contributions or ideas.
