  16.               February 14, 1993 9:00 to 12:00 a.m.

  18. The first _OFFICIAL_ meeting of the Consultants SAS[Users Group
  19. (CONSUG) is planned to be at SUGI in May 1993. However, to get
  20. things rolling, we have met at NESUG (October 1992) and now will be
  21. meeting at SESUG in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. IF YOU HAVE NOT
  22. REGISTRED FOR SESUG, DO IT NOW!

  24. Conference rates at the hotel end on January 12. You should also
  25. send in the sheet in your SESUG registration packet for the CONSUG
  26. breakfast meeting.

  28. A very interesting program has been arranged in conjunction with
  29. the SESUG co-chairs for your enjoyment and "informational augmentation."
  30. The program is as follows:

  32. 9:00    KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Eric Brinsfield of Meridian Software, Inc.
  33.         will talk about "The Cost of Consulting," based on his
  34.         experience.
  35. 10:00   PANEL DISCUSSION: Panelists will present brief comments related
  36.         to consulting followed by an open question and answer period.
  37.         Chris Toppe of ARC will discuss "Setting Fees: How Much Do
  38.         You Want To Earn?" Jack Callisher of Trilogy Consulting will
  39.         discuss "Stragies for Staying Engaged." Finally, Bill Calvert
  40.         of Service Research, Inc. will comment on "Business Structure
  41.         and Function."
  42. 11:00   GENERAL DISCUSSION: Following the Panel Discussion, organizational
  43.         issues will be discussed. Old business includes: Update on the
  44.         membership survey, plans for SUGI, dues and membership issues,
  45.         establishing better communications, and refining the goals and
  46.         objectives of the User Group. Other topics may be discussed
  47.         as time permits. New twists and ideas are welcome.
