- I am considering taking the plunge and buying a 386 machine (used, but
- refurbished by a reputable local company). There has been some discussion
- of video cards that don't work so well with NB. The one I am considering
- has a Genoa VGA card running a NEC Multisync monitor. I have never heard
- of Genoa, and a search of back discussions on this list comes up empty.
- Is there anyone out there who has this card and has had problems? I don't
- expect to run Lingua in the foreseeable future, but I'd like to know what
- I'm getting. Reply off-forum.
-
- If anyone wants to give me any other free advice, the machine is a 386/dx16,
- with an 80-some meg Seagate MFM hard drive. I forgot to ask exactly which
- processor (duh).
