- One reason for retaining a D: drive is if you are using a data compression
- program such as Stacker. So Bob may have a good reason for wanting to retain
- D:. I think the way the NB4 installation works, you either have to use the
- same drive as where NB 3 is or you have to have the original NB3 disks
- available to insert when prompted. If you have enough room on the C: drive
- for at least a temporary duplication, I'd install on C:, copy everything from
- NB4 over to D:, and then delete NB4 from C:. I would not delete NB3 from C:
- quite yet. I have run into a few situations where I could not print old files
- from NB4 even though NB4 converted them. I have also had NB4 crash on me
- repeatedly at critical times. In each case, I have been able to use NB3 and I
- certainly would not want to be in the position of having to reload
- from floppies when I was enduring an emergency, esp with a program like NB
- which seems to have a mind of its own.
