  33. Odeda having opened the way to the possibility of sounding insulting
  34. by suggesting the obvious, may I compound any injury?!

  36. Are you sre that you are actually loading the versions of default.set
  37. that you think you are loading? If, for example, there is an
  38. adventitious copy in a subdirectory earlier in the system path than
  39. \nb3, then no matter what you do to the one in \nb3 it will not be the
  40. one which is loaded. From within NB, give the command "find
  41. default.*"; this will find every possible copy and backup copy of
  42. default.set, and you may surprise yourself. I offer this suggestion on
  43. the basis of the experience of my own personal stupidities, and being
  44. embarrassed by what I discovered!
