  17. I don't know if this has ever been mentioned since I haven't been on the
  18. list that long, but here's an ailment that requires a cure.  I use Lingua
  19. with a French Canadian keyboard layout--I find it more convenient for
  20. accented characters than the CTRL-ALT-[SHIFT]-KEY combination.  Occassionally,
  21. after entering an accented key (doesn't matter what it is), the cursor will
  22. skip to the beginning of the next line and park itself there.  Typing places
  23. text at the end of the previous line (where it ought to be) and backspacing
  24. deletes text from the previous line.  In other words, although the cursor
  25. appears in column one of the next line, it acts as though it were in the
  26. proper place, except when I enter CTRL-BKSPC which has the disastrous effect
  27. of deleting all but the previous word.  I'm not kidding:  the entire document
  28. is erased except one word which appears at column 1 / row 1, the word I
  29. wanted to delete!  A minor problem is the addition of untyped characters
  30. after entering an accented character.  For example, typing / (for e acute)
  31. may result in the accented e as well as another random character.  As far
  32. as the cursor problem is concerned, I've been unable to do anything to
  33. cure the problem except close and reopen the document--a tremendous waste
  34. of time. Suggestions, anyone?
