- Are you using the correct printer driver? It's sometimes convenient to
- have a driver available which you can't print with, and if this gets
- loaded inadvertently then this might cause this problem. For example,
- I have no laser printer, but I use a laser printer; I load an HPIII
- driver, print the file to disk, and drift off downstairs with the
- floppy. But when looking at the file on the screen when the HPIII
- driver is loaded, the text width etc is totally different from what it
- is when the driver for the Epson LX800 is loaded. I've never tried to
- print on my Epson with the HP driver, but the result might be what you
- describe!

- I've had something like this. Try changing the parallel printer port.
- I find that using Word for Windows really screws things up, and I have
- to sort things out when I go back to NB; this means fiddling with the
- ports, rebooting, and kicking the cat. But what error message do you
- get?
