  23. k, emergency over.  thanks to Salavtore Saieva, I got my machine back up,
  24. although for reference, rebooting into single user takes bsd(0,0,0) -s, not
  25. just b -s which I tried a million times.  and I had to remove the slip call
  26. in the /etc/rc.local besides destroying the NetWare.  whew.  so since I don't
  27. have ftp ability, is there a new copy of slip out there that runs bugfree
  28. with ns3.0?  actually, what is strange is that the slip worked fine, it dialed
  29. the phone and connected me at the same time that I was getting the error
  30. about not being able to bring up the WindowServer.  any ideas on this would
  31. be most appreciated.
