  14. One of our NeXTs refuses to boot properly. On the way up it complains about

  19. I tried coming up single user, and sure enuff .. I can't write to anything, it
  20. complains about a read-only file system.

  22. The machine is a 68040 cube running NextStep 3.0

  24. I had a look at /etc/fstab and everything seems hunky-dory. 640 Mb. Maxtor drive
  25.  with
  26. just one partition '/'
  27.  
  28. Any ideas about where to start looking? The user went on holiday on Dec 20th.

  30. isn't back yet to tell me what 'little thing he changed' :)
