  11. I would first like to apologize profusely for the lengthy delay in
  12. summarizing responses to questions that I had asked quite some
  13. time ago.  Again thank you again to all who responded.

  15. My original message was as follows:

  32. I received 8 responses providing information and 5 additional
  33. requests for a summary.  The responses varied greatly in scope and
  34. detail.  Please bear with the inconsistencies.  Also keep in mind that
  35. some of these figures are almost 2 years old.  Three of the
  36. responses mentioned that they were going to review their pricing
  37. structure and probably raise charges.

  39. The number at the begining of the line indicates the number of
  40. institutions reporting that particular item of information.

  42. Who do you serve?
  43. 4 - serve all registered health professionals in the region
  44. 4 - all  in-state residents  - reference, ILL, mediated Medlines
  45.

  47.  2 - no charge for borrowing privileges for any health professional in
  48. the region
  49.  2 - ILLs  - by fax/ mail /email /emergency by phone
  50. 1- offers a document delivery service $1.25 per filled request for
  51. those in the health sciences center

  54. 1 - Photocopies:  $3.00/transaction (1-10 pages), plus $0.25 per
  55. page for
  56.   each page over 10 pages.
  57. 1 - Photocopies $8.00 up to 50 copies.  Any additional pages will be
  58. treated as a second request and charged $8.00 for every 50
  59. pages.
  60. 1 - Photocopies: in-state academic, school, public, and state
  61. government libraries $0.10 per page.
  62. 1 - Photocopies: all other in-state requests $2.50 plus $0.10 per
  63. page for each citation.
  64. 1 - Photocopies: out-of-state $8.00 per citation of up to 50 pages.

  109. basic package. (reference, book loans, end-user CD-ROM training
  110. and access)
  111. 1- Health Related outside area can buy basic services (reference,
  112. book loans, end-user CD-ROM training and access) at an annual
  113. fee of $30/yr.
  114.         They can also buy added-value services like ILL and online on a
  115. direct cost-recovery basis after annual fee is paid

  117. 1 - additional charges for commercial users and attorneys:
  118. preparation time under 5 minutes - $5.00
  119. 5 to 20 minutes - $10.00
  120. 20 to 40 minutes - $15.00
  121. 40 to 60 minutes  - $20.00
