- I would first like to apologize profusely for the lengthy delay in
- summarizing responses to questions that I had asked quite some
- time ago. Again thank you again to all who responded.
-
- My original message was as follows:
-
- >I am a Reference Librarian at the West Virginia University Health
- >Sciences
- >Library. We are a regional academic biomedical research library
- >interested in learning more about the types of outreach services
- >offered by other academic medical libraries.
- >
- > What types of services are offered? (ex. reference services,
- > online searches performed by librarian or patron CD-ROM
- > access)
- >
- > What levels of service are offered to whom? (ex. outlying
- > hospitals, private practitioners, lawyers)
- >
- > What sort of fee structure is in place?
-
- I received 8 responses providing information and 5 additional
- requests for a summary. The responses varied greatly in scope and
- detail. Please bear with the inconsistencies. Also keep in mind that
- some of these figures are almost 2 years old. Three of the
- responses mentioned that they were going to review their pricing
- structure and probably raise charges.
-
- The number at the begining of the line indicates the number of
- institutions reporting that particular item of information.
