- I am trying to install Daedalus on an AppleShare 2.0 network with 19 SE's
- running old system 6.03 (yes we're poor and can't afford memory upgrades -
- each machine has 1 meg, precluding system 7.x). I have followed the
- installation instructions to the letter and of course tried to eliminate
- every possibly complicating init, etc. but still get a disk error message
- on launch. Has anyone else had trouble loading Daedalus under such an old
- system? I know the obvious step is to call their tech support, and I have,
- but they have assured me somewhat diffidently that it would work fine on an
- older system software. Since upgrading the system is time consuming, I am
- hoping for some anecdotal confirmation that the old system is the culprit
- before I start jamming disks. I would appreciate any feedback.
