- Judy I'm sorry that your disc is defective, but I am glad to hear a
- similar story; my disc is also defective. To be exact: the NESE.EXE file,
- which essentially runs the program, will not read from the CD. This file
- is what is copied to hard disk, during installation, and is renamed
- browse.exe. I called Bruce Gutherie (sp?) at Tech support, over at DOC,
- and he claims to have had no other complaints, except from one MAC
- user.
- I have noticed, however, that it will work on one particular CD player,
- so perhaps it's a matter of tolerance to error -- or something techie
- sounding like that. For now I must rely on the test disc, if anyone asks
- for it -- otherwise my boss said to keep it under wraps since all other
- CD players are dedicated to high demand items like ERIC and the like.
- Hopefully, if enough people complain to Bruce, or to whomever, a fix
- might be made.
- BTW, is your problem similar?
