-
- Inspired by the recent request for a Mystat address...
-
- I am preparing a list of stat software packages/vendors and
- addresses to distribute at a minicourse on teaching intro stat
- at the Joint Math Meetings in San Antonio next week. So far it may
- include the packages listed below - what's missing?
-
- IBM
- Minitab, Execustat, NCSS, Kwikstat, Statistix, SPSS/PC+
-
- MAC
- Data Desk, JMP, Statview, Exstatix
-
- IBM or MAC
- Systat, Stata, Statistica
-
- IBM - Student versions
- Minitab, Execustat, NCSS, Mystat, Statistix, SPSS/PC+
-
- MAC - Student Versions
- Data Desk, JMP-IN
-
- I would be interested in:
-
- (A) Any of the above which are misclassified.
-
- (B) Any other packages which you have used or might be aware of
- which are useful in teaching the intro course.
-
- (C) Any recent reviews (especially comparative) of stat software.
- e.g. "Statistics Programs Designed for the Macintosh" in
- The American Statistician, November 1991
-
- Please e-send any info (Name/Address/Phone & Type of package)
- directly to me at rlock@stlawu.bitnet and not to edstat-l.
- I'm running late (of course) so the list should be in
- final form by Thursday. If there's interest I'd be glad to
- post the results to edstat-l. Thanks!
