- I ask fellow netters if somebody could give me useful advice:
-
- My problem is how to improve the performance of point data
- retrieval for given rectangular area. In other words, how to
- extract very small subsets of points according to their
- spatial position - given rectangular area. Expected ratio
- points/total points is i.e. 5/100000.
-
- At initial stage, some trials are made using Clipper and
- compound indexes technique in a test dbf of 10E5 records. It
- was not too satisfying.
-
- I would apprecieate very much if somebody who has any experience
- with this sort of problem could contact me to the following
- address: D.Leovac@ucq.edu.au
-
- Thank you in advance,
-
- Gino
