  10. I ask fellow netters if somebody could give me useful advice:

  12. My problem is how to improve the performance of point data
  13. retrieval for given rectangular area. In other words, how to
  14. extract very small subsets of points according to their
  15. spatial position - given rectangular area. Expected ratio
  16. points/total points is i.e. 5/100000.

  18. At initial stage, some trials are made using Clipper and
  19. compound indexes technique in a test dbf of 10E5 records. It
  20. was not too satisfying.
