-
- I would like to know of other sites' experiences with, and recommendations
- of, CD-ROM LAN management software for a Novell NetWare 3.11 network.
-
- One example of such software is the two SilverPlatter products called the
- Application Management Software and the Usage Statistics Software. These
- products provide the following functions:
-
- - create menus of CD-ROM databases, with password protection if necessary
- - set limits to the number of simultaneous users of a CD-ROM
- - set search session length limits
- - automatic time-out feature
- - calculates and displays many kinds of CD-ROM usage statistics
-
- We realize that many network products have one or two of these functions, and
- we also know that we can "build" our own system using batch files and such,
- but we'd like to know more about what else is out there.
-
- Are there any other CD-ROM management software packages similar to this, out
- there? Please respond directly to me, I can summarize for the list...
-
- Thanks!
