-
- I returned from Chirstmas vacation to find one of my 3Com servers dead.
- It is an old 3S401 and the problem appears to be with the memory. When
- it boots up, it returns the following messages during the POST
- tests:
-
- Memory Loc 075008 FAILED
- Reading E8F8 Expecting F8F8
-
- Then when 3+Share tries to load, it returns:
-
- Parity Error 069E:5BE9 ED 0C
-
- and 3+Share fails to load. I poped the case and looked at the
- motherboard. The best I can tell, the memory is soldered onto the
- motherboard. Is there some way to replace the memory chips without
- replacing the whole motherboard?
-
- Any advice would be appreciated.
