  12. I returned from Chirstmas vacation to find one of my 3Com servers dead.
  13. It is an old 3S401 and the problem appears to be with the memory.  When
  14. it boots up, it returns the following messages during the POST
  15. tests:

  17.    Memory Loc 075008 FAILED
  18.    Reading E8F8 Expecting F8F8
  19.  
  20. Then when 3+Share tries to load, it returns:

  22.    Parity Error 069E:5BE9 ED 0C
  23.  
  24. and 3+Share fails to load.  I poped the case and looked at the
  25. motherboard.  The best I can tell, the memory is soldered onto the
  26. motherboard.  Is there some way to replace the memory chips without
  27. replacing the whole motherboard?

  29. Any advice would be appreciated.
