  10. Could anyone assist me?  I have a Toshiba PageLaser12 Printer and I recently
  11. purchased a second hand envelope feeder for same.  Unfortunately it did not
  12. come with the required connecting cable.  Toshiba advise me that I can buy
  13. a cable from them for $109.  I think this is vastly overpriced as I could
  14. make one for around $20 (if I had to buy the pieces, which I don't).

  16. I have made a cable with all lines wire straight through but it doesnt work.
  17. Toshiba have also advised that they cannot (or will not) tell me how the 
  18. cable is wired.  Can anyone help me?

  20. Cable is from PageLaser12 to Envelope Feeder details as follows:

  22. P/L12 plug         25 pin "D" socket female
  23. Envelope Feeder    25 pin "D" socket female
  24. Cable              25 pin "D" plug male each end (ie. it has the pins)

  26. The Envelope Feeder only uses the following pins:

  28.     3       5       7       11      12      13      14
  29.     15      16      17      18      19      24      1 (earth)

  31. Pins 2 & 20 are blocked on the P/L12 and the Envelope Feeder.

  33. I posted this message some weeks ago and a number of respondants suggested
  34. I get a copy of the technical manual.  Unfortunately, Toshiba Australia 
  35. advised me that that the technical manuals are no longer available.
