  12. This information may be of use to anyone who wants to post a followup
  13. article anonymously.

  15. To post a followup article, most newsreaders support some version of
  16. the "F" command, that calls a news posting program and includes some
  17. of the header information from the original article.  It is not easy
  18. to use this command and have the article posted anonymously--from my
  19. site, outgoing news passes through a select few other sites and then
  20. is propagated ever more widely, and none of these sites has a way of 
  21. making the article anonymous.

  23. So if you want to post a followup that is tracked by many of the
  24. current threaded-type newsreaders, use the anonymous server as you
  25. always do (mail to alt.transgendered@anon.penet.fi, for example) and
  26. just edit in a "References: <message-id>" header line that contains
  27. the message id(s) of the article(s) you're following up.

  29. The result will be, for those who have threaded news readers, a
  30. discussion more easily followed.
