  10. I meant to post this earlier, but I didn't get around to it.

  12. I've been doing some frantic research about this tights thing ever
  13. since I saw the barely-tights-like objects that they want $18 for at
  14. LB.  So here's a synopsis of my findings:

  16. Danskins:  First of all, they are $15 a pair. Second, they are lycra
  17. and nylon and they itch in a nasty way(and in a nasty place too).

  19. Making it Big has tights, I don't know how much they cost, but I have
  20. had great luck with them in the past.  I know the tights will be
  21. costly (as much as $15), but I like their quality.

  23. I don't know if anyone besides me has a Jones Store, Co. but if you
  24. do, their tights are made Laura Gayle.  Laura Gayle tights have the
  25. same heavy feel as the old LB tights.  Maybe other stores carry them,
  26. too.

  28. The Avenue:  Cheaply made, but they are opaque and they fit even the
  29. fattest Venus of Willendorf figure on my block (me).  They only cost
  30. $6, too.  The only hang-up is that since they are nothing more than
  31. glorified hose, they run easily.  The nice thing about these tights as
  32. compared to the LB tights this year is that while the LB tights fit
  33. poorly and as a result are not opaque (particularly the black ones), 
  34. the Avenue tights are solid black.

  36. The Lane Bryant catalog:  These cost somewhere in the range of the LB
  37. store variety, and I have some on order, so I'll post when I know more
  38. about how they wear.

  41. The only tights I would implore you not to wear are the Danskins.
  42. They cost a bit too, too much for me and they are too long for my
  43. short leggies.  And that manmade fiber itches!  Ick.

  45. There are lycra tights in Women's sizes at the Target near here and I
  46. have not tried them (can you guess why?), but they are cheaper than
  47. the brandname ones.

  49. One last note:  The LB hereabouts had a surplus of the last-year's
  50. tights and when I asked about them, the store manager (who is a sexy
  51. babe if ever I saw one-his name is Calvin) brought me a shopping bag
  52. full of the last year's tights.  I bought them at the end-of-the-year
  53. sale price ($1.99). The moral of this is that you might want to ask.
