- What's going on here: I've got an SB Pro in a 25 MHz 386 with 16 Mb of
- RAM, and have been playing around with a few Windows programs that work
- with MIDI files. On more than several occasions I've run into the
- following problem: Load a MIDI file into Microsoft's Media Player (the
- thing that comes with Windows 3.1) and start it playing; the first one or
- two measures play fine, but then the music stops and the system
- IMMEDIATELY kicks out of Windows, clears the screen, and gives me a DOS
- prompt. After that, keyboard commands seem to work and although I can
- start other programs, the mouse is dead (I'm sure other things are
- corrupt as well). I've seen WinJammer die in the same way, but the
- separate player utility that comes with WinJammer seems to work fine.

- Anyone seen this kind of thing before?
