  17. What's going on here: I've got an SB Pro in a 25 MHz 386 with 16 Mb of
  18. RAM, and have been playing around with a few Windows programs that work
  19. with MIDI files.  On more than several occasions I've run into the
  20. following problem: Load a MIDI file into Microsoft's Media Player (the
  21. thing that comes with Windows 3.1) and start it playing; the first one or
  22. two measures play fine, but then the music stops and the system
  23. IMMEDIATELY kicks out of Windows, clears the screen, and gives me a DOS
  24. prompt.  After that, keyboard commands seem to work and although I can
  25. start other programs, the mouse is dead (I'm sure other things are
  26. corrupt as well).  I've seen WinJammer die in the same way, but the
  27. separate player utility that comes with WinJammer seems to work fine.
